How do you keep your pram perfectly clean? Practical tips from the Venicci brand

Family

A clean pushchair is more than shiny wheels and stain-free carrycot or seat – it’s a safe place for your baby to explore the world. And it gives you the peace of mind that everything is under control.
The pushchair is one of the most frequently used baby items, so keeping it clean can be quite challenging, but our tips will make the process much easier.

Why should you make it a habit to keep your pushchair clean?

Before we dive into the details, let’s quickly address why this is important. A pram, particularly a pram three in one, is a long-term investment that can be used from birth until around the age of four. This reassures you that your investment will be well-utilised, making it essential to protect it from everyday wear and tear.

The second point is even more crucial – a clean pushchair is a safe pushchair. The dirt in a pushchair can be a breeding ground for bacteria, which can easily transfer to your child’s hands and from there to their mouth. By keeping your pushchair clean, you are directly impacting your child’s health and promoting their correct development.

So how do you clean your pushchair? At Venicci, we have some tried-and-tested tips for that!

Cleaning the pushchair fabric

Let’s start with the pushchair fabric, as it can be the most problematic. And here’s where a vacuum cleaner comes to the rescue – all you need is a small, handy one that can pick up tiny debris such as dust, dirt and crumbs. When vacuuming, make sure to get into the little niches and gaps, as this is where dirt likes to collect.

Sometimes, vacuuming alone isn’t enough to keep your pram fabric perfectly clean. You might consider using water with a gentle washing detergent in such cases. Before that, test it on a small, hidden area first to avoid any unexpected colour changes.

And once you’ve wiped down the fabric, leave it to dry out.

More advanced pram cleaning

Prams, especially those designed for long service life, like the pram 2-in-1 or 3-in-1, need some extra care. When a new season starts, it’s wise to freshen them up with some cleaning.

Remember the wheels, frame, and other metal areas your child won’t touch but where dirt loves to settle. For example, our prams are designed with practicality in mind – you can remove the wheels and other parts to make cleaning quicker and easier. Again, a little water on a cloth works perfectly.
